Sunday’s Word – 11Nov12

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
 Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
 Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah.

Psalms 46: 1-3

Sunday’s Word – 04Nov12

For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
 For by You I can run against a troop,
By my God I can leap over a wall.
 As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

Psalms 18:28-30

Encouragement for the Moment

Come and sit and ask Him whatever is on your heart. No question is too small, no riddle to simple.  He has all the time in the world.  Come and seek the Will of God.

Max Lucado

 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Matthew 7:7

Encouragement for the Moment

There is nothing to be valued more highly than to have people praying for us; God links up His power in answer to their prayers.

 O. Chambers

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Isaiah 65:24

Encouragement for the Moment

If we pray for anything according to the will of God, we already have what we pray for the moment we ask it.  We do not know exactly when it will arrive; but we have learned to know God through the Spirit of God, and have learned to leave this in His hands, and to live just as happily whether the answer arrives immediately or later.

O. Hallesby

 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

1 John 5: 14-15

Encouragement for the Moment

To pray is to let Jesus into our lives. He knocks and seeks admittance, not only in the solemn hours of secret payer, He knocks in the midst of your daily work, your daily struggles,  your daily “grind”.  This is when you need Him the most.

O. Hallesby

Rejoice always,  pray continually,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
