Purim – Letters of Deliverance

She probably never realized the importance of her life until that moment.  Here a beautiful woman once thought as ordinary, now royalty, throwing herself to the ground in humility. Praying, asking, begging for the deliverance of her people and ultimately herself. After 3 days of petitioning the King of the Universe in fasting, petitioning her husband the King of Persia, the death of an evil man, Esther finds herself petitioning once more. Standing now in the presence of the King she is beseeching for another letter to be written. This time it is for her deliverance.

Esther is like all of us at one time or another; a soul in need of deliverance. Whether we are lost, abandoned, sick, poor, bound we can have the favor we seek and deliverance we need.  It is freedom written by the King.  This Word, written in 66 books or letters, has set us free from certain death and destruction.

Esther is not only a story of deliverance for the Jewish people, whom I dearly love; it also is a reminder of our own deliverance as we choose to embrace it.  Grace has delivered us. This day let me encourage you to read the powerful story of Esther and reflect in Heavens deliverance.

Your deliverance has already been written… receive it!

Esther rose and stood before the king. And she said, “If it please the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and if the thing seems right before the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let an order be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman the Agagite, the son of Hammedatha, which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the provinces of the king. For how can I bear to see the calamity that is coming to my people? Or how can I bear to see the destruction of my kindred?”    Esther 8: 5-6
